1. Who we are

T Assistant is an independent application built on Telegram's official TDLib library. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Telegram Messenger.

2. What information the app processes

2a. Stored on your device only

• Your Telegram session credentials (stored in TDLib's encrypted local database, never transmitted to us)
• App settings and preferences (stored in Android SharedPreferences on your device)
• Summary reports and fraud alerts generated by the app (stored locally on your device)

2b. Sent to T Assistant's backend for AI processing

When you explicitly trigger a Chat Digest or Fraud Detection scan, the app sends the following to our secure backend (Google Cloud Run, us-central1):

• Text content of recent messages from the selected chats
• Chat names (for labelling the output)
• Your language preference (English or Russian)

This happens only on demand — the app does not continuously stream your messages to our servers.

The backend processes the content using a Large Language Model (LLM) to generate the requested summary or detect harmful patterns, then immediately returns the result. No message content is stored on our servers after processing.

2c. What we do NOT collect

• We do not collect your phone number, Telegram user ID, or account credentials
• We do not store message history on our servers
• We do not collect analytics, crash reports, or usage statistics
• We do not use advertising SDKs or track you across apps

3. Monitoring accounts of family members

T Assistant allows you to add Telegram accounts of family members (e.g. children or elderly parents) to receive fraud and harm alerts on their behalf. This feature requires the account holder's active participation in the login process and their knowledge and consent.

You are responsible for ensuring you have appropriate consent from any family member whose account you add to the app.

Message content sent to the backend for processing is subject to the LLM provider's data handling terms. We use the API in a way that does not allow the provider to use your data for model training.

5. Data retention

• On your device: data persists until you uninstall the app or manually clear it
• On our backend: message content is not retained; processing is stateless
• Authentication tokens: a short-lived token is used to authorise API calls; it is not linked to your Telegram identity on our end

6. Your rights

You can at any time:

• Remove any Telegram account from the app (Settings → Accounts → Remove)
• Clear all stored reports and alerts from within the app
• Uninstall the app to erase all local data

If you are located in the EU/EEA, you have rights under GDPR including access, rectification, erasure, and portability. Contact ArtsiomLitouka@gmail.com to exercise these rights.

7. Children's privacy

The app is not directed at children under 13. The family-protection feature (monitoring a child's account) is intended for use by parents and guardians with appropriate oversight and consent.

8. Changes to this policy

We will update this page when the policy changes and update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
